With a goal to build up an inventory of the birds that find their home in the Dubois Badlands, Friends of Dubois Badlands is continuing a project to record resident and visiting birds in this area with a consistent process that can lead to real scientific contribution.
Join us June 6 as we observe and document the avian wonders of the Dubois Badlands. We will be doing opportunistic bird counts in Mason Draw, Byrd Draw, as well as an upland count past the landfill.
You are welcome to join us any time that day from 7am to 8 pm. Please register by June 3rd via email to jdbadlands@gmail.com
The walking will not be on trails but will be easy to moderate. The actual Wilderness Study Area is about a half a mile from the entrance points.
